What the application covers
Level 1: machines and devices
Communication with PLCs and shop-floor devices via OPC or the vendors' direct protocols, for example Siemens, Allen-Bradley or Omron. The collected signals become the foundation for supervision and for all higher system levels.
Level 2: HMI/SCADA and process models
Process visualisation on operator stations and in the web browser, recipe management, production sequencing and integration with mathematical process models. Line and downtime tracking give the operator a clear overview.
Level 3: operational production management
MES functions such as production and material requirements planning, order execution tracking, shift management, quality control and maintenance. They can be introduced as a whole or complement an existing MES.
Level 4: business systems
Data exchange with the ERP and planning systems such as SAP, Quintiq or Keops via the available interfaces. Orders go down to the shop floor, and execution, consumption and quality return to the business system.
