From requirements to solution

Software adapts to the process.
Not the other way round.

Our portfolio covers the industrial and business applications described on this page. A collaboration can start with adapting a solution from the portfolio or with development to the client's specification, with a clear overview of users, business rules and integrations.

Alongside the applications, we provide rollout into the existing environment, further development and post-go-live support. The scope of customisation, team, licences and responsibilities are defined for each project.

01

Design and development

Functional specification, data model, user interfaces and implementation according to requirements. Desktop, web or mobile application is chosen based on how it will be used, not on a predefined template.

02

Integration and commissioning

Connecting to business and industrial systems and deploying on-premises or in the cloud. Commissioning can be planned on site, remotely or as part of an international project, depending on the agreement and technical conditions.

03

Maintenance and upgrades

Support for existing applications, bug fixing and adaptation to process changes. Taking over support starts with a review of documentation, source code where available, licences and the permissions required to work.

Development tools and platforms

The technologies behind the applications.

A technology overview of the portfolio applications, their integrations and options for further development.

Desktop and cross-platform

Embarcadero Delphi · Visual Studio · C# · .NET · Java · Avalonia UI · Uno Platform

PC applications for operational work, industrial workstations and business users. A cross-platform interface is considered when the solution needs to run on different devices and operating systems.

Web and mobile interfaces

Radzen · Angular · Blazor · .NET Core · React JS · PHP · HTML5 · CSS3 · JavaScript · C#

Web applications, administration portals and user interfaces adapted to desktop, tablet or phone. Radzen is one of the tools for faster development of business interfaces, with the appropriate technology and version chosen per project.

Databases

Microsoft SQL Server · MySQL · Oracle

Data modelling and integration for business transactions, production records, reporting and integrations. Database schema, access rights, data quality and maintenance are defined together with the application.

Industrial visualisation

HMI / SCADA · mySCADA · QuickHMI · Blazor · React JS · Avalonia UI · Uno Platform

Supervisory interfaces, line statuses, process views and event overviews. Cross-platform and web access are planned around the requirements of operators, process engineers and maintenance.

Shop-floor integrations

OPC · Siemens · Allen-Bradley · Omron · SAP · Quintiq · Keops

Connecting automation, production software and business systems. The specific protocol, direction of exchange and access method are confirmed based on the equipment, available interfaces and documentation.

Project approach

PMI approach · Scrum / Agile · commissioning · technical support

Structured planning, iterative development and delivery verification. The choice of methodology and adoption of new technologies follow the complexity of the project, existing standards and the client's needs.

This technology overview is not a claim of formal partnership or vendor certification. The choice of tools, supported versions and licences is confirmed before delivery.

Industrial software engineering

From machine signal to business plan.

Production digitalisation connects automation, operational management and business data. Application areas include steel and aluminium metallurgy, the wood industry, automation, warehouse processes and sensor-based monitoring.

A project aligns the system levels: what is collected from the shop floor, how the process is visualised, and which information is managed at production and enterprise level.

More about industrial automation
Level 4ERP

Business planning and integration

Integration with the client's ERP and related planning systems, including SAP, Quintiq and Keops, via the available interfaces. Data exchange aligns business needs with information from production.

Level 3MES

Operational production management

Production and material requirements planning (MRP), tracking of execution, shift management, quality control and maintenance. Integration with an existing MES preserves process continuity on the shop floor.

Level 1.5–2HMI / SCADA

Process, recipes and the production line

Cross-platform and web supervision, production planning and sequencing, recipe management and integration with mathematical models. Line tracking and downtime management provide an operational view of the process.

Level 1PLC and devices

Connection to machines and automation

Integration via OPC or the direct interfaces of the relevant equipment, for example Siemens, Allen-Bradley and Omron. Sensors and IoT extend data acquisition according to the needs of the plant.

Production Monitoring System · Our portfolio

Production in clear view.

The production monitoring system from our portfolio connects eight functional areas: performance, products, downtime, process trends, quality, maintenance, traceability and consumption.

01KPIs and dashboards

Daily, weekly and monthly indicators of production, quality and maintenance progress in a single view. Real-time monitoring links the process status with the information needed for operational decisions.

KPI · dashboard · production performance · quality · maintenance

02Produced pieces and products

Records of produced units and their production parameters. Views by production time, product identifier and selected parameters make it easier to analyse individual records and production batches.

Production records · identifiers · parameters · analysis

03Production downtime

Tracking and analysis of unplanned downtime with automatic notifications. Recording the reason, duration and frequency of stoppages, grouped by cause or line section, focuses the effort on eliminating recurring problems.

Downtime · stoppage cause · duration · notifications

04Process data trends

Process data analytics and time trends for process engineers. Comparing available signals such as temperature, speed, tension or material thickness helps follow process behaviour and investigate deviations.

Process signals · time series · trends · deviation analysis

05Quality control

Quality tracking of produced units and analysis of accepted products versus scrap. Quantities, weight or length are linked to production records according to the available measurements and process rules.

Quality control · scrap · production parameters · quality indicators

06Maintenance and CMMS

Computerised maintenance management: equipment, planned interventions, dates, activity descriptions and maintenance history. Automatic SMS and email reminders support preventive maintenance and timely task completion.

Predictive maintenance is considered as a separate step, once suitable measurements, historical data and a validated model are in place. A preventive maintenance schedule is not in itself a failure prediction.

CMMS · preventive maintenance · SMS/email · prerequisites for predictive analytics

07Product and material traceability

Linking the identity of a product or material to its production records. The scope of traceability, the events recorded and data availability are defined by the process and the systems the application connects to.

Asset traceability · identity · production history · linked records

08Production consumption

Monitoring and analysis of production consumption as a basis for understanding resource use. Consumption types, units of measurement and comparison methods are defined by the data available from the specific plant.

Consumption · resources · measurements · analytical overview

A smart factory starts with connected data.

Industry 4.0 here describes the direction of digitalisation, integration and information availability, not a claim of formal certification of the solution.

Industrial applications from the portfolio

Tools, warehouse and slitting.

Solutions for a robotic tool warehouse and support for the longitudinal cutting of material, the slitting process.

Robotic warehouse

Tool and automation management

Application support for managing and automating a robotic tool warehouse for metal cutting machines. Linking tool availability and characteristics with the needs of the production line.

Such an architecture can connect a Windows PC application, a SQL database, the ERP and other plant systems, with additional functionality available through a web interface.

More about the tool warehouse and slitting
Process preparation

Tool combination selection

Calculating the appropriate tool combination for a given slitting process while taking availability and wear into account. The goal is to link the production requirement with the actual state of the tools in the warehouse.

The application model can be adapted to the paper industry and related slitting processes, after verifying the technological rules and constraints of the specific process.

Delivery and continuity

From specification to sustainable operation.

Project work connects the software with the infrastructure, the available permissions and the people who will use the system.

  1. Analysis and specification

An inventory of processes, user requirements, integration points and the constraints of existing applications. Definition of acceptance criteria and responsibilities.

  2. Architecture and development

  3. Integration and testing

Verification of data exchange, user scenarios and operation with equipment or business systems. Preparation for rollout into the existing environment.

  4. Go-live

Commissioning on site or remotely, on local infrastructure or in the cloud. Schedule, access, backups and the rollback plan are agreed before the change.

  5. Support and further development

Maintenance, customisation and upgrades of our own or existing applications within the agreed rights. Availability, licensing, code ownership and support scope are defined separately.
